The structural design advantages of high-speed machine tools lead the machine tool industry

Judging from the current development of the machine tool industry in high-speed machining centers, compared with the three-axis high-speed machining that appeared in the mid-to-late 1990s, it can be said that the number of axes and linear drive technology have reached a higher level. In particular, some high-tech companies are involved in machine tools. After high-speed control in automation, the machining center has developed into a five-axis machining center that adopts direct drive. The swing of the spindle tool is realized through the fork-shaped spindle head, and the swing spindle head can also be firmly clamped to position it at the swing angle. At any position within the range, according to the configuration of the coordinate axes in the current industry, a five-axis machining center can basically be divided into three linear axes (X/Y/Z) for tool movement and two additional rotation axes (A and C) There are two structural types: the structural type used for the rotation and swing of the workpiece and the structural type in which one of the five coordinate axes (A) is set on the spindle head. In addition, there are some machine tools that have a swing axis and a swing axis. The rotating axes are all set on the spindle head, such as the G996V/BSH high-speed milling center of German Parat Company and the five-axis or six-axis gantry milling machine of German Edel Company.

With the continuous advancement of technology in today's machine tool industry, new machine tool structure products are constantly emerging due to the urgent demand for high-speed processing. Among them, high-speed machining centers are one of them. After the emergence of high-speed processing machine tool products, they have become increasingly popular in the industry. Promoting the progress of manufacturing industry, the development of efficient and high-precision processing molds has been widely recognized by the industry. In order to enhance the rigidity of the machine tool, this processing machine tool adopts a gantry frame structure in the design structure. This is a high-speed horizontal machining center that keeps up with the international pace.

Features of new structural design:

1. The column is a gantry frame-type front hanging box, which has good rigidity, average stress, and good dynamic performance without causing confusion in accuracy;
2. The detection components of the four coordinates of X, Y, Z, and B are directly measured using German HEIDENHAIN grating rulers, forming a closed-loop control. The positioning accuracy and repeat positioning accuracy can reach 0.008/0.005mm.
3. The overall layout of the machine tool design is an inverted T-shaped structure for the longitudinal and transverse bed. The column moves horizontally left and right (X-axis travel 1000mm), the spindle box moves up and down (Y-axis travel 900mm), and the worktable moves longitudinally forward and backward on the bed. (Z-axis travel 900mm). The bed adopts an integral forged bed with good rigidity;
 4. The three-axis guide rails are roller linear rails from Japan's THK, which are wear-resistant, easy to maintain, have large load-bearing capacity and high precision; the screws of the three linear axes and the servo motor are directly connected through couplings, and have good synchronization performance. Rapid movement and feed speed can reach 40m/min

Among the structural design advantages of the new high-speed machining center, the high-speed electric spindle is the core component of the high-speed machining center, because the electric spindle must have a high speed to achieve high-speed machining, and for micro-milling of molds (the milling cutter diameter is generally 0.1~ 2mm), a higher speed is required. Most high-speed machining centers or milling machines for mold processing still use servo motors and ball screws to drive the linear coordinate axis, while the swing of the rotary table and the swing of the fork spindle head are Movements such as rotation have been widely implemented using torque motors. Therefore, in the next few years, it is believed that the machine tool industry equipment of high-speed machining centers will definitely lead the development of the industry and become a popular model among machine tool equipment.
